Academic Programs

The KMU School of Nursing offers the following 3 academic programs for students beginning or furthering an education in nursing science.

  1. Undergraduate Program in Nursing
  2. Master's Program in Nursing
  3. Doctoral Program in Nursing

Minimum Requirements for Graduation

  • Undergraduate Program in Nursing:
    Completion of 128 semester-hours of course work with an average grade of 60. Of these 128 hours, 87 must be required nursing courses, 41 must be electives and general education.
  • Master's Program in Nursing:
    Completion of 30 semester-hours of course work with an average grade of 70. Of these 30 hours, 18 must be required nursing courses, and 6 must be Thesis.
  • Doctoral Program in Nursing:
    Completion of 36 semester-hours of course work with an average grade of 70. Of these 36 hours, 18 must be required nursing courses, and 12 must be Dissertation.
  • International Doctoral Program in Nursing:
    Completion of 36 semester-hours of course work with an average grade of 70. Of these 36 hours, 18 must be required nursing courses, and 12 must be Dissertation.
